Michael Lavorato Managing Director - Plasterboard Repairs - TM Linings
Michael Lavorato

Managing Director

As a teenager, Michael spent many hours on building sites learning the trade from his father. Wanting a broader skill base, he later gained qualifications as a Licensed Builder and Quantity Surveyor. These skills, combined with his genuine passion for plasterboard, has given him the perfect skill set to continue the growth and reputation of TM Linings. Those in the industry consider Michael an absolute expert in the field and his technical advice on finishes, sound proofing and fire ratings is highly regarded.

Michael is also on the Executive Committee of the Association of Wall and Ceiling Industries (AWCI) Australia and New Zealand, the peak representative body for contractors, suppliers and manufacturers throughout the wall and ceiling industries.

Our Values

The quality control process for each project is personally managed by the Directors of TM Linings. That’s the way it’s been since the company was founded – it’s a hands-on approach but the standard and finish of every job matters. A quality job begins with high caliber tradespeople using the best materials possible. In selecting our team members, we only choose contractors that share our passion for a quality finish and our dedication to customer service.

Once we identify team members with the right skills and attitude, we lead the way with contractor training and management. Collectively, we know that our livelihoods depend on all the TM Linings team meeting the needs of every client on every job, so we ‘live and breathe’ a positive workplace culture that aims to please our business partners and clients.

It’s beyond laying plasterboard and producing top finishes where TM Linings separates itself from many competitors. Communication is important – we keep all clients informed at every stage of work, and we employ the strictest safety practices that typically go beyond the industry standards. We are also well ahead of our industry with regards to compliance and safety audits.

We pride ourselves on our clean-up standards and have introduced a removal system to ensure we contain all leftover materials, helping protect our clients’ environmental reputation while minimising site clean-up costs.
